The Lower Shore Workforce Alliance (LSWA) has solutions for your workforce challenges. Whether it's workforce training, workforce recruitment, labor and licensing regulations, or more, your LSWA staff and partner organizations can help. We all want a robust and healthy business environment in Maryland for the 21st Century and beyond!
The Lower Shore Workforce Alliance works with businesses to provide a skilled workforce that will support their needs. In addition to the traditional training programs available to individuals looking for a job and a career, the Lower Shore Workforce Alliance offers On-the-Job Training (OJT) programs, Apprenticeship programs, and specialized training programs through its vendors. The Program Development Liaison meets will businesses to discuss needs and works to find solutions.
The Lower Shore Workforce Alliance is guided by the Workforce Development Board (WDB). The WDB is comprised of individuals representing the public and private sectors of Wicomico, Worcester, and Somerset Counties. The majority of the board is composed of members from the business community providing input and recommendations guiding the agency's work.
